The fire broke out around 3:30 AM at the Lotus Grandeur Banquet Hall in Noida's Sector 74, which was under renovation.
Fifteen fire tenders worked for three hours to extinguish the flames, which spread rapidly due to flammable construction materials.
The deceased, identified as 25-year-old electrician Parminder, was trapped on the first floor and succumbed to the fire.
Initial investigations suggest an electrical short-circuit may have caused the fire, though the exact cause remains undetermined.
The banquet hall lacked a no-objection certificate from the fire department and had no firefighting equipment installed.
