Fatal Stabbing in Montreal Claims Life of 19-Year-Old Man

The victim succumbed to his injuries after an altercation in the Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve neighbourhood.

The incident occurred shortly before 7 p.m. on Saturday in Montreal's southeastern Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve neighbourhood.
Police spokeswoman Sabrina Gauthier reported that the stabbing followed a conflict between a group and another man.
The victim, a 19-year-old man, was found with upper body injuries caused by a sharp object.
Despite initial reports suggesting the victim's life was not in danger, his condition worsened, leading to his death early Sunday afternoon.
Authorities have arrested two men, aged 19 and 27, in connection with the incident.
