FC St. Pauli Raises Over €21 Million Through Cooperative for Stadium Ownership

The Bundesliga club aims to secure financial independence and fund key projects while preserving its community-driven identity.

FC St. Pauli has raised approximately €21.3 million from 17,500 supporters through its newly established cooperative, launched in November 2024.
The funds will allow the club to gain majority ownership of the Millerntor-Stadion and reduce reliance on bank financing.
Each cooperative share costs €850, and members, regardless of the number of shares owned, receive one vote in decision-making.
Club president Oke Göttlich emphasized that the funds will focus on sustainable projects like expanding the youth academy rather than excessive player acquisitions.
The cooperative highlights the club's commitment to community engagement, with 80% of contributions coming from supporters within a 10-kilometer radius of the stadium.
