Federal judge dismisses claims against Inslee, Chun in Rolovich suit

Former Washington State University football coach Nick Rolovich filed a lawsuit claiming discrimination against his religious beliefs when he was terminated for refusing to comply with a state mandate to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
Rolovich's lawsuit enlisted the support of former NBA guard John Stockton and a Catholic bishop, who attended a recent court hearing with him as the judge considered whether to dismiss the case.
Former Washington State coach Nick Rolovich cannot sue WSU athletic director Pat Chun or Washington Gov. Jay Inslee over his firing, as the judge granted motions to dismiss Chun and Inslee as defendants.
Rolovich’s case against WSU remains pending.
