Final Safety Inspections Underway for Mumbai Metro Line 3 BKC–Worli Stretch

The 9.77-km segment of the Aqua Line is expected to open for public use as early as next week, advancing the phased rollout of Mumbai's underground metro system.

Overview

  • The Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) has initiated final inspections on the BKC–Acharya Atre Chowk segment, with a full evaluation scheduled around April 10.
  • If safety clearances are secured, the 9.77-km stretch could be operational by the weekend or early next week, according to project sources.
