• Avinash Bhusari, a café owner in Nagpur, was shot dead on April 15 outside his establishment in the Gokulpeth area.
• The Hiranwar gang allegedly carried out the attack after failing to target a rival gang member during an Ambedkar Jayanti procession on April 14.
• Five suspects, including Shailesh alias Bunty Hiranwar and four others, were arrested following a coordinated manhunt across multiple states.
• Police are still searching for six additional suspects and the firearms used in the crime, which were reportedly purchased for Rs 1.2 lakh.
• The suspects evaded capture for nearly two weeks by frequently changing mobile phones and SIM cards before being apprehended at railway and bus stations in Gondia.
