Five Nights at Freddy's creator, Scott Cawthon, accidentally approved the release of an unfinished Roblox game, causing confusion and disappointment among fans.
The game, Five Nights at Freddy's: Survival Crew, developed by Metaverse Team Frights, was prematurely released due to a misunderstanding when Cawthon approved a skin, which was interpreted as a signal to release the game.
Cawthon has since pulled the game from Roblox, stating it was in its 'infancy' and 'in no way ready to be released to the public.'
Cawthon plans to fix the game and officially release it in 2024.
The accidental release led to a flurry of NSFW content on the game's Discord server, which has since been cleaned up.
