Flappy Bird Set to Return After a Decade

The viral mobile game will relaunch with new features and characters, but without its original creator Dong Nguyen.

Flappy Bird, originally launched in 2013, was pulled from app stores in 2014 due to concerns over its addictive nature.
The Flappy Bird Foundation, a group of passionate fans, has acquired the rights to the game and plans to release it in 2025 on iOS and Android.
The new version will feature additional characters, game modes, and multiplayer challenges while maintaining the original gameplay mechanics.
The game will also be available on web browsers by the end of October 2024.
Dong Nguyen, the original creator, is not involved in the revival and has remained silent on the matter.
