Florida executes Michael Zack for 1996 murders of two women he met in bars

Michael Zack III was executed by lethal injection for the 1996 murders of Ravonne Smith and Laura Rosillo, who he met at bars.
Zack went on a 9-day crime spree that included theft, assault, rape, and murder after being evicted and stealing a bartender's truck.
He claimed he had fetal alcohol syndrome and PTSD, but appeals arguing he should be ineligible for execution were rejected.
This was the 6th execution in Florida this year under Governor Ron DeSantis, who has advocated expanding use of the death penalty.
In his final statement, Zack expressed love and regret, saying "I love you all" to witnesses before being declared dead.
