Florida Teen Murdered After Being Lured Online by 35-Year-Old Man
Miranda Corsette, 16, was abducted, beaten, and dismembered by a Florida couple after meeting one of them through a social media app, police say.
- Miranda Corsette, a 16-year-old Florida girl, was reported missing on February 24 after meeting Steven Gress, 35, through a social media app on February 14.
- Corsette returned to Gress' home the day after their initial meeting and stayed with him and his partner, Michelle Brandes, 37, until her death.
- Police believe Corsette was beaten and tortured between February 20 and February 24 following a dispute over missing jewelry, eventually leading to her murder.
- Gress allegedly transported Corsette's body to a second location in Largo, where she was dismembered, and later disposed of her remains in a dumpster in Hillsborough County.
- Both Gress and Brandes face first-degree murder charges, with Gress also charged with kidnapping; investigators are still working to locate Corsette's body.
