Ford Completes Delivery of 140,000 Tesla-Compatible Charging Adapters

The adapters, now available for $200, enable Ford EVs to access Tesla's Supercharger network after a year of delays and manufacturing challenges.

Ford has shipped all 140,000 complimentary NACS charging adapters promised to customers, allowing access to Tesla's Supercharger network.
The adapters, co-developed with Lectron, underwent extensive durability testing, including water submersion and being run over by a truck, to ensure reliability.
Delays in Tesla's production of the adapters led Ford to switch to Lectron as its supplier in 2024, resolving supply chain issues.
Ford's BlueOval Charging Network now includes over 180,000 chargers, with 20% of Ford EV charging sessions taking place at Tesla Superchargers.
The adapters, compatible with CCS-equipped EVs and Tesla V3 and newer Superchargers, are now available for purchase at $200.
