Former 'America's Got Talent' Winner Michael Grimm Hospitalized with Mysterious Illness, Currently Sedated in Intensive Care

Michael Grimm, winner of Season 5 of "America's Got Talent," has been hospitalized due to an unknown illness and is currently sedated in intensive care.
Grimm has been unconscious for over a week but was recently taken off a ventilator and is now breathing on his own.
The cause of Grimm's illness is still unknown, though it was first thought to potentially be a stroke which has since been ruled out.
Grimm will require vocal chord surgery after damage from intubation and will undergo physical therapy once he recovers enough to be taken out of sedation.
Concerts for Grimm in June and July have been canceled, though his wife hopes he will recover in time for August shows.
