- The unauthorized administration of melatonin began in December 2022, initially at the request of one parent, before being extended to other children without consent.
- Parents reported side effects in their children, including difficulty sleeping, irritability, headaches, and in one case, a skin rash.
- Following the incident, Voris, who now resides in Dade City, Florida, was taken into custody to serve her sentence.
