Former Iowa State player faces gambling charge for alleged bets on Broncos, Cyclones games

Eyioma Uwazurike, a former Iowa State player now with the Denver Broncos, was charged with tampering with records for allegedly placing bets on NFL and college games.
The complaint alleges Uwazurike bet on two Iowa State games and five Broncos games, including one in which he played.
Uwazurike was suspended by the NFL last season amid an investigation into sports gambling by Iowa State and Iowa athletes.
Three other Iowa State athletes, including starting quarterback Hunter Dekkers, were also charged as part of the investigation.
Uwazurike played for Iowa State before being drafted by the Broncos in 2022.
