Former 'Teacher of the Year' Accused of Sexual Assault

Brandyn Hargrove faces termination following allegations of a years-long inappropriate relationship with a student.

Brandyn Hargrove, a former 'teacher of the year' at Brazoswood High School in Clute, Texas, is accused of sexually assaulting a female student for years.
The alleged victim, now in her 30s, reported an 'ongoing relationship' with Hargrove from age 15 to 17.
Hargrove was arrested on Dec. 21, 2023, and charged with six counts of sexual assault of a child, four counts of indecency with a child by contact, and two counts of indecency with a child by exposure.
The Brazosport Independent School District placed Hargrove on administrative leave in September 2023 and initiated employment-related actions to terminate her.
Hargrove's fate will be determined at a school board meeting on Jan. 22, 2024.
