Former UFC Fighter Killed After Being Hit by Bus in Brazil

Former UFC fighter Felipe Colares died at the age of 29 after being hit by a bus while returning from training in Rio de Janeiro.
Colares was still alive when paramedics arrived but died en route to the hospital.
Colares last fought in February 2022 and had competed in the UFC twice, owning an 11-4 pro record.
Colares leaves behind a wife and 10-month-old son.
Colares worked to raise awareness around violence against women through a government program teaching self-defense.
