Former U.S. Attorney Jessica Aber Found Dead at 43 in Virginia Home

Jessica Aber, who served as U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia until January, is remembered for her distinguished career as an investigator probes the circumstances of her sudden death.

Jessica Aber, 43, was found unresponsive at her Alexandria, Virginia residence on the morning of March 22, 2025, and pronounced dead at the scene.
The Alexandria Police Department has launched an investigation, with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner tasked with determining the cause and manner of death.
Aber served as U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia from October 2021 to January 2025, having been appointed by President Joe Biden and unanimously confirmed by the Senate.
