Former White House aide Gabe Amo wins crowded Democratic primary in Rhode Island's 1st Congressional District
- Gabe Amo, who previously worked for Presidents Obama and Biden, won the Democratic primary for the vacant House seat.
- Amo defeated 10 other Democrats including Lt. Gov. Sabina Matos, former state Rep. Aaron Regunberg, and state Sen. Sandra Cano.
- If elected in November, Amo would become the first person of color to represent Rhode Island in Congress.
- In Utah's 2nd District GOP primary, Celeste Maloy is leading over former state Rep. Becky Edwards to replace Rep. Chris Stewart.
