Epic Games has introduced a voice reporting feature in Fortnite, allowing players to report abusive behavior using audio evidence.
The feature is always on for players under 18, and records the last five minutes of voice chat on a rolling basis.
Recorded audio is stored on the player's device, not on Epic's servers, and is deleted after five minutes unless a report is filed.
Reports, which are anonymous, are sent to Epic's moderators for review and are deleted after 14 days or the duration of a sanction.
Players over 18 have the option to turn voice reporting off in certain circumstances, such as when all players in a party have also turned it off.
