Founder of Popular L.A. Streetwear Line Dies at 42

Chris "Spanto" Printup, the creator of Born X Raised, an influential streetwear brand based in Los Angeles, passed away on June 28.
Printup died from injuries sustained in a car accident that occurred on June 25 according to a statement from Born X Raised.
Printup was known for centering Los Angeles in his brand's designs and for frequently collaborating with local sports teams like the Dodgers and Rams.
Despite battling cancer, Printup remained devoted to his company and community until his death at the age of 42.
Printup used his Indigenous heritage and love of Los Angeles to inspire his fashion designs, which often featured friends and family as models.
