France Introduces Baguette-Scented Scratch-and-Sniff Stamps

La Poste celebrates the iconic French bread with a unique stamp design ahead of the 2024 Summer Olympics.

The stamp emits a bakery scent through microcapsules embedded in the ink.
Designed by Stéphane Humbert-Basset, 594,000 stamps are available for purchase.
The baguette's UNESCO heritage status in 2022 inspired the creation of the stamp.
Each stamp costs $2.13 and can be used for international letters up to 20 grams.
The stamp is sold in sheets of 15 and as a souvenir leaflet with a baguette illustration.
