French Gym Teacher Arrested for Filming Students in Locker Rooms

Authorities in Lille have identified 12 minor victims after uncovering illicit recordings made by a teacher using a hidden camera.

A sports teacher at a private middle school in La Madeleine, near Lille, has been charged and detained for secretly filming students in locker rooms.
The investigation began after reports from an Australian agency and the French online reporting platform Pharos linked the individual to pedocriminal websites.
Authorities discovered that the teacher used a hidden spy camera to record young boys changing during swimming outings, with 12 victims identified so far.
An official inquiry has been launched for offenses including the creation, possession, and distribution of child pornography, as well as invasion of privacy.
The school has coordinated with local Catholic education officials to provide psychological support and counseling for affected students and their families.
