Friends Spinoff 'Joey' Makes Streaming Debut on YouTube After Nearly 20 Years

The Friends spinoff Joey, starring Matt LeBlanc, has been made available to stream for the first time, with the first two episodes now on the official Friends YouTube channel.
Joey originally aired in 2004, following the titular character's move from New York to Los Angeles to pursue acting, but was canceled in 2006 after two seasons and declining viewership.
The series featured an ensemble cast including Drea de Matteo, Paulo Costanzo, Andrea Anders, and Jennifer Coolidge, but none of the original Friends cast made appearances.
Despite strong initial ratings, the show struggled to maintain its audience and was eventually pulled from NBC's lineup, with eight episodes left unaired in the U.S.
Warner Bros. Television has not confirmed plans to release additional episodes on YouTube or other streaming platforms, though the rights remain available for licensing.
