The visit includes discussions with Jordanian officials on facilitating voluntary returns of Syrian refugees to their homeland after the regime change in Syria.
Germany has pledged €300 million in additional aid to support Syrian refugees and host communities in Jordan and neighboring countries.
Since the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime in December 2024, approximately 44,000 Syrian refugees have voluntarily returned to Syria from Jordan.
Jordan continues to play a critical role in maintaining regional stability while hosting 1.3 million Syrian refugees and addressing broader Middle Eastern tensions.
