Germany Bids to Host 2029 Women's European Championship

The German Football Association (DFB) has officially submitted its bid to host the 2029 Women's European Championship to UEFA.
DFB President Bernd Neuendorf announced the goal of drawing over one million spectators, surpassing the record of 574,875 set at the 2022 tournament in England.
The campaign slogan, 'Together We Rise,' emphasizes the ambition to grow women's football across Europe through the tournament.
Germany faces competition from Poland, Portugal, Italy, and a joint bid by Denmark and Sweden, with the host decision expected in December 2025.
The DFB is focusing solely on the 2029 bid after its unsuccessful attempt to host the 2027 Women's World Cup, which was awarded to Brazil.
