Germany Prepares to Select Eurovision 2025 Representative in National Final

Nine acts will compete in a live broadcast tonight, with the audience ultimately deciding who will represent Germany in Basel this May.

The German Eurovision 2025 national final, 'Chefsache ESC,' will air live tonight at 8:15 PM CET on ARD and online platforms.
Nine finalists, including Düsseldorf's Julika and the Mittelalter-Rock group Feuerschwanz, will perform both a cover song and their original ESC entry.
A jury led by Stefan Raab, joined by Conchita Wurst, Yvonne Catterfeld, and Nico Santos, will first narrow the field to five acts before the audience votes for the winner.
Favorites based on streaming metrics include Feuerschwanz with 'Knightparty' and the sibling duo Abor & Tynna with their song 'Baller.'
The winning act will represent Germany at the Song Contest's grand final on May 17 in Basel, where Germany aims to improve its recent poor track record.
