Grammy-Winning Rapper Pras Convicted in International Political Conspiracy Scheme

Prakazrel "Pras" Michel, a member of the 1990s hip-hop group the Fugees, was found guilty of illegally funneling foreign money into Barack Obama's 2012 presidential campaign and working as an unregistered agent of the Chinese government.
Michel received millions of dollars from a Malaysian businessman to donate to Obama's campaign through straw donors.
Michel was also paid by China to try and convince the U.S. government to extradite a Chinese dissident living in America.
Witnesses at the trial included Leonardo DiCaprio and former U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
Michel claimed he was simply trying to build a new career and received bad legal counseling.
