Grizzlies Star Center Steven Adams Ruled Out for Playoffs Due to Knee Injury

Steven Adams, the Memphis Grizzlies' starting center, will miss the NBA playoffs due to a knee injury he suffered in January.
The Grizzlies have gone 20-10 since Adams' injury but will need to rely on recently signed Kenneth Lofton Jr. and Brandon Clarke in the playoffs.
Adams received a stem cell injection for his injured knee in early March but has not played since late January.
The second-seeded Grizzlies open the playoffs against either the No. 7 or No. 8 seed in the Western Conference following the play-in tournament.
Despite losing Adams, Memphis has been one of the NBA's hottest teams over the last two months behind All-Star Ja Morant.
