Hall of Famer Jim Palmer Sues Family Friend for Alleged $1M Fraud

- Jim Palmer, Hall of Fame pitcher and former Baltimore Orioles player, has filed a lawsuit against family friend Warren Michael Holmes, alleging he was defrauded of nearly $1 million.
- Holmes, who claimed to be a prominent British hairstylist, was loaned $985,000 by Palmer and his wife, Susan, to start a beauty product line.
- The lawsuit accuses Holmes of breach of contract for business and personal loans, negligent misrepresentation, fraud in the inducement and unjust enrichment.
- Holmes had built a close relationship with the Palmers, even becoming the guardian and manager of the trust for Palmer's autistic stepson, Spencer.
- Holmes has not been located and has not been served with the lawsuit. An initial court appearance is scheduled for February 22.
