Hanging Lake Trail to Undergo Extensive Reconstruction This Summer

The popular Colorado hiking destination will see closures on weekdays and some weekends, with limited reservations available.

Reconstruction at Hanging Lake includes replacing seven bridges and adding a boardwalk to improve sustainability and safety.
The project aims to repair damage from the 2021 debris flows and prepare the trail for future environmental challenges.
Reservations for hiking will be released weekly, with availability starting April 30 at visitglenwood.com.
Funding for the project comes from multiple sources, including Great Outdoors Colorado and the National Forest Foundation.
Additional trail work in Glenwood Canyon will also affect the Grizzly Creek and Jessie Weaver trails.
