Overview

  • The recall applies to 1,000-gram bags marked with product code L341-4002307906 and a best-before date of January 2026 sold in the Netherlands.
  • At least three bags were confirmed to contain cannabis, causing dizziness and other health complaints in both children and adults.
  • Consumers are advised not to eat the affected sweets and to contact Haribo directly for a refund instead of returning them to retailers.
  • The NVWA issued a safety warning on May 29 and continues to test samples as part of its joint investigation with Haribo.
  • Haribo has confirmed that no other product lines or regions, including the UK and Germany, have been impacted by the contamination.
