Harry Brook Banned from IPL for Two Years After Withdrawal

Harry Brook, England's 26-year-old batsman, has been banned from the Indian Premier League for two years after pulling out of the 2025 season.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) informed Brook and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) of the decision, citing a policy introduced in 2024 to deter late withdrawals by overseas players.
Brook was signed by the Delhi Capitals for INR 6.25 crore but withdrew to focus on England's upcoming international cricket schedule and recover from a demanding period in his career.
This marks the second consecutive season Brook has pulled out of the IPL; he also withdrew in 2024 following the death of his grandmother.
The IPL's policy allows exceptions for injury-related withdrawals but enforces a two-year ban for other late pullouts to maintain tournament integrity.
