Harvard researchers develop drug cocktail that reverses aging in mice

Harvard scientists identified a combination of molecules that can rejuvenate aged cells and tissues in mice.
The drug cocktail consists of growth hormone, metformin, and a molecule that activates the AMPK enzyme.
Tests showed reversal of aging effects in muscles, liver, eyes and other organs in aged mice.
Human trials are being prepared to test the anti-aging treatment.
If proven safe and effective in humans, the therapy could enable whole-body rejuvenation and treatment of age-related diseases.
