Hawaii Doctor Charged with Attempted Murder of Wife on Hiking Trail

The alleged attack occurred after Arielle Konig reportedly refused to take a photo with her husband, leading to physical violence and severe injuries.
Authorities say Dr. Konig pushed his wife off the trail, struck her with a rock, and attempted to use syringes on her during the attack.
Arielle Konig remains hospitalized in critical condition with multiple facial and head injuries, according to Honolulu Emergency Services.
Dr. Konig was arrested near the Pali Highway after a brief foot chase and has since been suspended from his medical position pending investigation.
