Hayao Miyazaki's New Animated Film 'The Boy and the Heron' to Open Toronto International Film Festival

Miyazaki's first feature film in 10 years, "The Boy and the Heron," will open the Toronto Film Festival on September 7.
The animated fantasy film centers around a boy who discovers a fantastical world with a talking grey heron.
It marks the first time a Japanese or animated film has opened the prestigious film festival.
"The Boy and the Heron" had a record-breaking debut in Japan earlier this year.
Despite labor strikes, the festival boasts a strong lineup including the new Miyazaki film.
