Hollywood Action Star Jeremy Renner Crushed by Snowplow in Dramatic Tahoe Rescue of Nephew

Renner prevented his nephew from being crushed by the 14,000-pound snowplow himself, sustaining life-threatening injuries while pushing the youth to safety.
Despite breaking 30 bones including eight ribs, Renner's first instinct was concern for his young nephew, asking first responders and doctors about the boy's condition before receiving treatment for his own injuries.
In his first interview since the accident, Renner told ABC News anchor Diane Sawyer that he "wouldn't change a thing" and didn't regret his actions, stating "That's what you do for family."
The star required multiple surgeries to repair his collapsed lung, pierced organs, and shattered bones but is expected to make a full recovery.
Renner has vowed not to let the traumatic incident define him and says that, while he values his movie career, "family comes first, last, and always."
