Hollywood Agent's Son Charged with Murder of Wife and In-Laws

Victim had expressed fear of losing custody battle due to husband's influential father, according to friends.

Samuel Haskell IV, son of a former Hollywood agent, is charged with three counts of murder, accused of killing his wife, Mei Li Haskell, and her parents, Gaoshan Li and Yanxiang Wang.
Mei had reportedly told friends that she wanted to divorce Samuel, but feared his powerful Hollywood agent father would ensure she lost custody of their three children.
Authorities allege Samuel was observed dumping a trash bag into a dumpster that contained a human torso, believed to be Mei's. The remains of Mei's parents have not yet been found.
Neighbors reported unusual activities at the Haskell home around the time of the alleged murders, including an odor that smelled like rotting flesh and sounds of a child yelling out for help.
Samuel is currently in custody of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and is being held without bail. The couple's three children are in the custody of his parents.
