House Republicans Increase Pressure on FBI Director Over Testimony, Documents

Rep. Mike Johnson called on FBI Director Wray to correct his "demonstrably untrue" testimony before the House Judiciary Committee.
House Republicans plan to send a letter requesting Wray correct his testimony about political bias and suppression of conservative speech.
Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan threatened to hold Wray in contempt if he does not provide details on targeting parents and Catholics.
Jordan accused the FBI of failing to comply sufficiently with document subpoenas and set a deadline to avoid contempt proceedings.
This follows a successful contempt threat by Rep. James Comer that forced the FBI to share an informant file.
