Jackman posted the video on Instagram, recommending his followers to visit the Rockefeller Christmas tree early in the morning when it's not crowded.
He was let off with just a warning by the friendly security guard.
Five years earlier, Jackman had taken the Rockefeller Center’s stage during a Today show appearance just before Christmas 2018.
