ICC Finalizes Hybrid Model for 2025 Champions Trophy With Key Concessions

India and Pakistan agree to play matches at neutral venues in a compromise set to shape ICC tournaments until 2027.

The 2025 ICC Champions Trophy will adopt a hybrid hosting model, with India's matches to be held in Dubai while other games take place in Pakistan.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) agreed to the hybrid model after the ICC threatened to shift hosting rights if no resolution was reached.
In return, the ICC approved a similar hybrid arrangement for all ICC tournaments hosted in India until 2027, including the 2026 T20 World Cup.
Broadcasters emphasized that a Champions Trophy without India was not viable due to the revenue generated by Indo-Pak matches.
The tournament schedule, delayed by ongoing disputes, is expected to be released soon following further operational discussions.
