Vroman’s Bookstore, established in 1894, is the oldest independent bookstore in Southern California and has been an integral part of the community, hosting events for former Presidents and Hollywood celebrities.
Despite the challenges of the pandemic and a shifting retail landscape, both Vroman’s and Book Soup have endured, standing as testaments to Sheldon’s commitment and adaptability.
Sheldon hopes to find buyers who will respect and carry forward the legacy of these stores, ideally local individuals with business acumen, a passion for books, and a vision for the future.
