Latea Hentz, 36, and her two children allegedly boarded a school bus in Indianapolis on March 6 to confront a 14-year-old student they accused of bullying her son.
The confrontation escalated into a physical attack, leaving the victim with a fractured nose, a swollen eye, and other injuries, as confirmed by Riley Children’s Hospital.
Hentz has been charged with four felonies, including criminal confinement, battery resulting in moderate injury, intimidation, and criminal trespass.
The incident was captured on both the bus's security camera and a video recorded by a family member, which has since gone viral and fueled public debate.
Hentz claims the school failed to address the bullying her son faced, while the victim alleges Hentz's son had made racist comments that led to a prior altercation.
