Intoxicated American tourists trapped overnight at Eiffel Tower, delay opening

Two intoxicated American men fell asleep at the top of the Eiffel Tower after excessive drinking.
The men were discovered by security staff before the tower opened to the public.
They were handed over to Paris police but fines were dismissed as no damage occurred.
As a result of the incident, the Eiffel Tower opened later than usual on Monday.
The men now face charges for trespassing on the historic monument.
