Intuit Executive Alex Chriss Named New PayPal CEO, Replacing Dan Schulman

Alex Chriss, an Intuit executive, will become PayPal's new CEO on September 27, replacing Dan Schulman.
Chriss was selected from a pool of candidates and impressed PayPal's board with his experience at Intuit, including the $12 billion Mailchimp acquisition.
The CEO change comes as PayPal looks to expand into cryptocurrency payments and after missing earnings forecasts.
Schulman led PayPal for 8 years and will remain on the board until May 2024.
Chriss' payments experience made him an attractive choice as PayPal pushes further into fintech.
