Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared a $5 million reward for anyone who successfully frees a hostage held in Gaza.
Netanyahu emphasized that those who assist in freeing hostages will receive safe passage for themselves and their families out of Gaza.
The announcement comes as Israel continues its efforts to locate and recover 97 hostages, 34 of whom are confirmed dead.
Netanyahu, speaking from the Netzarim Corridor in Gaza, reiterated the goal of preventing Hamas from governing the region.
Since the conflict began, a single truce in November 2023 allowed for the release of more than 100 hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners.
