Overview

  • ITV will cut Loose Women and Lorraine back to 30 weeks per year from January 2026 and shorten Lorraine’s airtime from one hour to 30 minutes.
  • More than 220 roles across ITV’s daytime division are expected to be eliminated under the restructuring plan.
  • Good Morning Britain will extend by 30 minutes on weeks without Loose Women, while This Morning stays in its current 10 am to 12.30 pm slot.
  • Loose Women panellist Jane Moore condemned pundits’ dismissals of the show as “lazy misogyny” and highlighted its award-winning campaigns on domestic violence and women’s health.
  • Kevin Lygo, ITV’s media and entertainment chief, said the schedule changes will generate savings for reinvestment in sports programming and expanded news output.
