Jane Campion to Receive Prestigious Pardo d’Onore Manor at Locarno Film Festival

The award recognizes Campion's outstanding contributions to cinema, with a special ceremony scheduled for August 16, 2024.

Jane Campion, acclaimed for her film 'The Power of the Dog,' will be honored with the Pardo d’Onore Manor at the 77th Locarno Film Festival.
The festival will also feature 4K restorations of Campion’s films 'An Angel at My Table' and 'The Piano,' specially selected by the director.
Campion is celebrated for her pioneering role in cinema, being the first woman to win the Palme d’Or and a two-time Oscar nominee for Best Director.
The award has previously been given to notable filmmakers like Bernardo Bertolucci, Jean-Luc Godard, and Agnès Varda.
