Apple TV+ has given a straight-to-series order for 'The Dealer,' a drama set in the high-end art market, starring Jessica Chastain and Adam Driver.
The series is described as a sharp exploration of power, class, seduction, and culture, focusing on an aspiring gallerist's complex relationship with a talented but unnerving artist.
Playwright Lucas Hnath will write the series, with Tony-winning director Sam Gold helming the project; both previously collaborated on the acclaimed play 'A Doll’s House, Part 2.'
Jessica Chastain and Adam Driver will serve as both lead actors and executive producers, alongside a production team that includes Media Res, known for hits like 'The Morning Show' and 'Pachinko.'
This marks Adam Driver's first major television role since 'Girls' ended in 2017 and continues Jessica Chastain's growing presence in prestige TV following her work on 'The Savant.'
