Jewish Boy Attacked in Rome Over Wearing a Kippa

A 33-year-old Egyptian asylum seeker assaulted an 8-year-old boy and his mother in a suspected antisemitic attack on a busy street in Rome.

The suspect fled the scene but was later arrested by Italian anti-terror police near the site of the attack, with the broken bottle found in his possession.
Authorities are investigating the case as attempted bodily harm with intent to disfigure, a charge newly recognized in Italy following a series of acid attacks.
