Jonathan Majors Domestic Violence Case Set for Trial, Dismissal Request Denied

Actor Jonathan Majors' cross-complaint against alleged victim Grace Jabbari dismissed by Manhattan prosecutors, while evidentiary material sought for sealing; trial set for November 29.

  • Jonathan Majors, well-known Marvel actor, was arrested following a domestic dispute with Grace Jabbari on March 25, 2023, where Majors was identified as the aggressor. Despite the arrest, Majors’ spokesperson denied all allegations and expected to clear his name.
  • Majors’ career faced significant impacts due to these allegations, such as being dropped by talent manager Entertainment 360 and PR firm The Lede Company. His advertising campaign with the U.S. Army was also paused due to the charges.
  • In June, Majors filed a countersuit against Jabbari, alleging that she caused him physical harm during the March incident. Despite filing this countersuit, the Manhattan District Attorney's office indicated that they would not prosecute Jabbari.
  • Multiple delays led to the trial, initially scheduled for August, to be moved to November 29, 2023. Majors’ motion to dismiss the case was denied and certain requested evidentiary material was sought for sealing.
  • Both parties of the case provided conflicting claims, with Majors pleading his innocence and Jabbari claiming Majors assaulted her. Relevant due processes are in progress and reactions from third parties, including some expressing their concern about Majors’ alleged pattern of abusive behaviors, continue to impact Majors' career.
